Our Mission

The English International School of Tunis proudly welcomes both Tunisian families and international residents. We offer a high-quality English education that seamlessly blends with a deep immersion in Tunisian culture through Arabic and French language study.

Through this unique combination, our aim is to nurture young minds for the global opportunities of the 21st century, equipping them with the skills and perspectives to flourish not only in their local communities but also in an interconnected world.

The English International School of Tunis extends its reach beyond academics, embracing a holistic approach to education. We nurture collective well-being and positive growth through our core values, fostering respect and support within a vibrant community.

Our dynamic learning environment, powered by personalised pathways and the Cambridge learner framework, empowers students to conquer challenges and achieve individual success.

This ensures all students blossom on their educational journey and flourish in an interconnected world. The Cambridge learner attributes are the guiding force behind our educational philosophy.

Cambridge Learner Attributes

We are developing students who are keen to explore and evaluate ideas and arguments in a structured, critical and analytical way. Our students will be able to communicate and defend views and opinions as well as respect those of others.

By using the Cambridge curriculum, we help students develop competencies so that they can become responsible for their own learning and can set their own targets. We help students learn how to collaborate and to understand that their actions have an impact on others and on the environment. We help our students appreciate the importance of culture and community.

We work with students to help them understand themselves as learners – their likes and dislikes as well as strengths and weaknesses. We will help them to know about processes as well as the products of their learning and develop the awareness and strategies to be lifelong learners.

The Cambridge curriculum helps our students be ready to welcome new challenges and meet them resourcefully, creatively and imaginatively. They are capable of applying their knowledge and understanding to solve new and unfamiliar problems. They can adapt flexibly to new situations requiring new ways of thinking.

We help to develop students who are curious, embody a spirit of enquiry and want to dig more deeply. Our students are keen to learn new skills and are receptive to new ideas. They work well independently but also cooperatively. They are equipped to participate constructively in society and the economy – locally, nationally and globally.

Our Educational Philosophy

At the English International School of Tunis, we focuse on helping students to reach their full potential as individuals, developing their intellectual, social, emotional and physical potential.

Close and supportive relationships within small classes enables teachers to tailor the learning experiences and meet individual needs.

Our learning programmes support students to understand themselves, each other and the communities they belong to. We are committed to educating children to become proactive, compassionate, global citizens, who will make their individual mark on their communities and the wider world.
